Session Description:
With much of the healthcare industry focused on population management as a means of reducing costs and improving the quality of care, Health IT has quickly emerged as the foundation upon which successful population management efforts must be built. Through innovative use and analysis of data, information sharing, and mobile technologies healthcare organizations are now able to care for their entire population, which becomes increasingly important as ‘pay for performance’ models are increasingly adopted in the industry. During this Keynote, we will hear from ONC leadership on it views IT supporting population management and how standards & interoperability play a critical role to the success of this movement.
